Help the Nava Family recover

Donation protected

Hi, I'm Anne. My business partner and one of my very best friends, Josh Nava, suffered a massive heart attack Wednesday at age 36. Doctors said had he come in even moments later, he would not have likely survived the incident. His wife Deb and two boys Enoch and Kai are working on finding a path forward, knowing life will have to look a lot different for their dad/husband after a medical event of this magnitude.

Josh is in the ICU now, and will remain there until his vitals stabilize. His road to recovery will likely be a difficult one, though we are all praying it will be swift and complete. His doctors said Josh's situation is "very, very unusual, never seen anything like it," that it was unrelated to his lifestyle and would have been impossible to predict or prevent it.

You might recognize Josh as the incredibly talented spoon carver and author, photographer and artist that has been working alongside me in my business, Anne of All Trades, for the past year and a half as we've been working around the clock to launch a much, much bigger dream together, the School of All Trades.

Josh is one of the hardest working, most selfless people I've ever known, and it's been an honor and a privilege to work alongside him this past year and a half as we've tried, in the face of plenty of difficulty that now pales in comparison to what he and his family are facing, to get our craft school off the ground.

Josh is a man of integrity and principle. He's made it his life's mission to help the people he cares about solve their problems. I've been the recipient of that care and problem solving on too many occasions to count, both professionally as we've worked together, and throughout the past seven years of our friendship. My friendship with Josh, Deb, and their boys was a huge motivating factor in Adam’s and my move to TN last year, and getting to work with Josh ever since has been yet another added bonus.

Everyone here may not know that before embarking on the School of All Trades project with me, aiming at making knowledge about disappearing life skills accessible to folks all over the world, Josh and his wife Deb spent 15 years working with a non-profit in developing nations. During that time, and continuing into the present, Josh and his family gave everything they had- financially, physically, even emotionally to that development work and, as such, don't have a ton of savings to lean on in the midst of a family crisis like this, which is why I wanted to give folks who have been impacted by the far reaching positive influence Josh and Deb have had a chance to step up and make things a little easier for them as they figure out their path forward.

Please consider donating and easing their burdens during this time.
