Help the New Circle Road Kitties!

I should have included this to start, but im adding it now because I have gotten the question a lot! These kitties have already been fixed through a local trap and release spay and neuter program. Should the need arise in the future to get more fixed I have this resource through a local shelter! Thank you for all of the concern. We definitely don’t want to make more kitties!

A few weeks ago we watched a man who lives in his car feeding some kitties outside of an Auto Zone on New Circle. Today we dropped some food off for the kitties and learned some more about the man who cares about them, Mr Everett. Despite living out of his car and being an amputee, the kitties are his top priority. Mr. Everett went on to tell us that he uses over half of his monthly disability each month to care for about 60 kitties in the New Circle Road area. He provides canned food, dry food, and water daily. The back of his car had a small supply of cat food and Mr Everett was sitting with his car door open enjoying the nice day while his loyal kitties sat nearby.

We are fundraising to help ensure that Mr Everett always has a steady supply of cat food to distribute to his colony. In addition to the cat food we would like to provide him with some Kroger gift card that he can use for gas and some necessities for himself. We know times are tough for everyone, but we would love to help a member of the community that despite having a hard time himself, he is giving back to the homeless animals in Lexington.

We plan on buying cans of cat food from Costco. 48 cans of cat food at Costco is about $33. We plan on providing updates and can provide receipts as well. Daniel is hoping to go visit again this week to bring more food.
