Help the Nicholson Family with ALS

Hello, my name is Gerald Nicholson, Sr., and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. A little about me - I have an amazing wife, three wonderful kids and a beautiful granddaughter. I am an alumnus of Fort Valley State University, where I pledged Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternities, and was an exceptional musician and artist. I’ve played piano for over 35 years for many churches and organizations. My favorite pastimes include cooking and grilling, fishing, and Falcons Football on Sundays. In March of 2023, my family and I have been blindsided by a fatal neurological disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, generally known as ALS(Lou Gehrig’s Disease). It has aggressively attacked my body and is rapidly affecting and diminishing my ability to function independently. This has resulted in myself and my spouse losing our jobs. My wife is my primary caregiver and we are struggling to meet every need. At this juncture, we have lost insurance. Any funds donated will be used to aid in securing caregiving services, ongoing medical equipment needs, alleviation of medical bills, and other household expenses as needed.
