Help the Ortiz Family After Tragic Fire

On behalf of our family I am reaching out to you today to request your support. On 2/18 in the middle of the night in Newark, NJ our family has been put through the most traumatic experience of their lives. Due to the negligence of a neighboring apartment they lost their home and everything inside due to a house fire.

Due to the severity of this fire a family of six is left without nothing and they will need tremendous support in restarting their lives. My Father and his family were woken up from they're sleep and thankfully escaped moments before any serious harm, and for that we are very, very grateful. Although grateful, we are still in disbelief over the memories the fire took from them. The city of Newark provided them with a temporary five night stay at a nearby hotel and assisted them with minor aid from the Red Cross. Unfortunately, five days is not enough time and not enough financial stability to be able to find new living arrangements for a larger family. My family who was affected by this tragic fire was my Father and Step-mother along with four of my younger sibling’s.
