On Tuesday, December 14, 2021, Joakim’s journey through this life came to an end, after a cruel battle with cancer. He spent his final days back in Sweden together with Susanna - the love of his life, his wife and best friend.

Joakim was a wonderful father, and was adored by his three children, Clara, Carl and Ebba. These incredible humans said their final goodbye to their beloved Pappa a month ago at LA Airport. The hardest farewell any of us could ever imagine. They wanted their parents to be together for the final stage of this journey. Their maturity, strength and bravery cannot be overstated.

Many have asked what they can do to help Joakim’s grieving family, and importantly, to honor his life.

Joakim’s final wish and concern was for his children’s education and financial security. For those who are familiar with the US medical system, you will understand that Susanna also has the burden of medical bills.
