Help the Outland Complex survive COVID-19
Donation protected
Whether it’s been the Outland Complex or the Rockwell, we have been a staple for national, regional, and local acts for the past 20 years here in Springfield, MO. Some of ours and your favorite bands have been able to grace our stage and we are so thankful for what we have accomplished. To be completely honest, the current pandemic and climate we are in is terrifying and most venues [including us] won’t be able to last another 2-3 months of this. We are fighting and doing everything we can to stay afloat, but as time goes on it’s getting super hard. We’re a very DIY group of people and have handled things the way we do for two decades, but we even know our limits and are asking for a little help from our Springfield community.
Over the past month we started selling shirts to raise funds for our staff and help support them during this time. We are so thankful for those who have ordered and continue to do so. We are having to switch focus now to support ourselves and the staple we have become in the downtown and Springfield community. Our business brings in so much revenue to the city as a whole whether it just be in taxable income, patrons grabbing food from local businesses, coffee from across the street, staying in hotels around the area, and so much more. We want to continue to support the city we love, but in our current situation and not being able to open we don’t see that realistically happening unless something changes. We were the first to close and will be last to open while bills are continuing.
We have welcomed everyone over the years and would like to continue to do so for another 20. If you have the means, please grab a shirt or donate some funds so we can fight to outlast this and continue to bring your favorite bands here. Without us and the other venues around town there won’t be live music anymore and that’s not a world we want to live in.
Where the funds are going:
- Rent
- Utilities [Electric/Gas/Water/Internet/etc...]
- Insurance
- Expenses already covered while closed and without income.
- Anything remaining will go towards upgrades and projects that were started, but not completed due to COVID-19
