Help the Overstreet family with funeral expenses

Donation protected

If you have ever met my sweet friend, Rachel, or her parents Keith and Kathy, you know what loving, generous and kind people they are. Tragically, last week they lost their only son and brother, Mason, at the age of 32. Mason has been fighting a brutal war with Schizophrenia and Depression for most of his life and his family is devastated beyond words.

Mason was kind, intelligent, caring, strong and creative. Amidst his battle with mental illness, he was a loving brother and son as well as a fun uncle to Grayson & Evie. This disease ravaged his mind, but never could take his heart, and he was a treasured and precious part of their family. Most do not know the trauma and struggles that they have collectively been through as a result of the havoc this illness has instilled on their family, as they have fought hard, every single day, to not only manage what this disease caused but also just to keep him alive. Keith & Kathy never gave up on him, they tried everything, exhausted every resource time and time again, and with every obstacle they faced they remained steady with their unconditional love and support. Their only solace in this tragedy is that he is finally at peace.

In spite of the many years they spent dealing with this illness and all of the things that come with it, losing Mason was unexpected and tragic beyond words. The loss of a child is not only something that a parent can never truly be emotionally prepared for, but the logistics and fiscal aspects of having to bury your child unexpectedly are an added strain that The Overstreets are now having to navigate. Mason’s illness came with many years of expenses that were overwhelming at times, and those financial responsibilities have been compounded with the final expenses of laying him to rest.

If you feel lead, will you please consider donating to help cover the costs of their final expenses? I know so many of you can relate to the emotional strain and financial burdens that can be caused by a sudden loss, and I believe that we can really bless this beloved family in their time of need. Anyone who knows Rachel and their family know that they are the first ones to help others in need, and now is their turn to be the recipients of that same generosity. When a family experiences a loss like this, it is difficult as their loved ones to know what to say or do to help or make it better in any way, but I believe helping unload the monetary hardship this loss has caused will comfort and help them in significant ways.

Thank you in advance for every donation, big or small- I know every dollar will help and will be appreciated tremendously!
