Help the Patrick family recover from devastating house fire
Donation protected
Hello, I'm writing to our friends, family and extended networks to share the story of the devastating fire that erupted unexpectedly in the night and ravished my brother's home. Thankfully, my brother Derek Patrick, nephew Derek Patrick JR. and mom Debi was able to escape just in time, but two of their dogs were killed in the fire; Bubby and Floppy.
They watched helplessly from the street as the fire completely destroyed their home which contained Derek's work from home space, the investments for his projects, extensive tool collection, his work from home space and everything for the natural health business that he was launching.
Derek has spent the last few years tirelessly, investing his time, money and resources into updating his home such as replacing the windows, doors, drywall and appliances. Despite the cost this took from his personal life, he was proud to continuously improve their family home. My mom was there helping to decorate DJ's dream room. He was so eager to have his friends sleepover (who have also found refuge at their home) and they were just days away from completing this project. To add to the devastation, Derek's home was uninsured at the time.
While there is no monetary amount that can bring back the dog's lives, memories, personal items, or all of the future plans and investments that were lost in the fire, we also recognize that it will be a huge undertaking to get back on his feet. We do not know where they will be able to find to live with the surviving dogs and to keep DJ in the same school district. He also will not have the ability to work without a permanent home to connect to. As I'm sure you may know, the housing market in Arizona is very bad for renters and buyers right now, so we are looking at all options including temporary ones.
Any help in the form of resources, prayers, or donations no matter how small are greatly appreciated as they work towards rebuilding their lives.
