Help the People of Creston, NC Recover from Hurricane Helene.

Hi, my name is Meredith Holmes and my parents have lived on Three Top Mountain for over 30 years, even after my father's passing, my mother has continued to be an active member of the Creston community. I am reaching out for the people of Creston, North Carolina who have been devastated by Hurricane Helene. Homes, roads, bridges, and even lives have been lost. The town is in desperate need of help, Creston Volunteer Fire Department is raising funds to support the the community as they work tirelessly to rescue people and begin the long process of rebuilding.

Many residents, including the elderly and babies, in Creston need food, medication, and other essential supplies. In addition to immediate relief, funds are urgently needed to rebuild homes, put gravel on damaged roads, and get supplies to those who are unable to leave the mountain. The town also needs feed for horses and other animals, and fuel to run the heavy equipment necessary for road repairs and excavation.

Chainsaws and other equipment are required to clear downed trees so that utility crews can access the area and restore power, which is currently estimated to take at least seven weeks.
