Help The People of Lake Atitlan Buy Food - Part 2
Donation protected
Dear friends,
Since I ran our initial campaign, I have received an incredible outpouring of support. I am so thankful for all of your donations, which I have used to support over 315 families in all of the small villages around Lake Atitlan. The last seven weeks have been hectic as I’ve had to buy food from wholesalers, prepare the baskets with my assistants and distribute them across a large area. In some cases, the families are not able to pick up the baskets so I’ve gone with my sister or one of my assistants to drop them off. I’ve also spent time cooking for the elderly, disabled and people living on the street who need more help than the baskets alone.
I am sure that the people who follow us on Facebook and Instagram have seen the extreme happiness and appreciation of the people that we have supported but I wanted to make sure that you understand how important your help has been. Our village is completely shut down now and we are one of the few organizations that are preventing some of these families from facing even more difficult circumstances.
I wish you all continued health and happiness.
With appreciation and love,
Anita
