Help The People of Tigray Survive

My name is Kathi and I live in the United States. A decade ago I had to privilege to work as an educator at a Teacher Training College in the historically important northern region of Ethiopia called Tigray.

 

In November 2020, the insidious Ethiopian leader-turned-dictator, Abiy Ahmed, began his ethnic cleansing project and attacked Tigray and has never looked back. Abiy Ahmed and his followers began bombing villages and shooting innocent men, women and children. In the larger towns they looted stores, businesses, colleges and hospitals and left them with not even a pencil. They burned the farmer's fields of teff and other crucial crops so that the people who were not already dead, would starve. They are currently turning away aid from humanitarian efforts and have closed all of Tigray's banks and communication channels. This was a very well-planned attack and it is far from over.

 

Thousands of Tigrayans are now starving and dying. This GoFundMe project is to directly help the families in Tigray who are left, survive. Why should you care? Because the history books will talk about this genocide and you can make a difference and be part of the history. And because we need to help innocent people who are victims of such atrocities.

 

Any contribution will go directly to the remaining families and help them get the food they need. There is a sense of urgency here. Please help.
