Help the Perez Family after Tragic Fire

Early Wednesday morning, the beautiful lives of Edgar and Margoth Perez, along with their family dog Wendy were tragically lost in a apartment fire. The couple passed at their long time residence at 71-02 162nd street in Fresh Meadows, Queens, where they lived for 12 years. Edgar and Margoth who family called Pelu & mamita Mamol, were the heart and soul of their family. Married for 57 years, mamita mamol and Pelu were soulmates since the day they first met. They loved each other beyond measure and loved their family. Their apartment became a safe haven for the entire family as a place of acceptance and love. If the family felt down, they would visit Edgar and Margoth. This couple was the most genuine, gentle and understanding pair. Even if you were meeting them for the first time, they treated you like family. Wendy was the beloved family dog, she was the sweetest dog with a kind hearted spirit. She was a friendly and happy dog, every time you saw her, her tail was wagging. This loss is huge for the family, who never got the chance to say goodbye.

Due to the tragic fire and the damage caused by it, the apartment complex at 71-02 162nd street in Fresh Meadows, Queens has been condemned, leaving the remaining family members displaced. Edgar and Margoth's grandson Jonathan who was also in the fire was lucky to survive. He knocked on each door of the apartment complex and made sure everyone evacuated safety all while suffering from the loss of his grandparents. Jonathan lost everything in this fire, his home, his grandparents and all of his personal items.

Additionally, daughters Katie and Sandy lived in the same building complex as their parents, have been left without shelter and Katie lost most of her personal items due to water damage from extinguishing the fire.
