Help the Pommier Family Immigrate and Adoption

Hi, my name is Alex and I am asking for your kindness to help my family immigrate to the USA. Our journey of the immigration process started in March 2020. We were living happily together in the Philippines when I received the worst news from my father that he had Stage 4 Cancer and did not have much longer to live. So I rushed back home to the USA to be with my father in his last days. Little did I know that I landed the exact day that the Pandemic shut down all International travel. A few days later, my father passed away in my arms. The World was thrown into chaos from the Pandemic as my family was grieving for the loss of our father, but we were not allowed to have a funeral and say our final good byes due to the new protocols.

After a few weeks, I tried to go back to my fiancé and son. But I was not allowed to enter the Philippines. So I applied for my fiancé and son's K1 Visas. The process felt never ending. After a year and half of no communication from the Immigration Office and watching my son grow up over video calls, I found a loophole. In November of 2021, Shela and I had an Online Wedding. This would allow me to reunite with my family. But there was a stipulation. Shela needed to enter the Philippines with me for it to work. So she met me in Thailand, and then we flew back to the Philippines.

On our arrival to Cebu, a simple tropical storm ramped up to a Category 5 Typhoon! It ripped off the roof to our hotel and just devastated everything in it's path. Luckily our son was safe and sound in Bohol at his grandma's house. But now, Shela and I were stranded in Cebu sleeping on the floor of one of her family member's apartment. All transportation was grounded to a halt. After 5 days of not knowing when we could leave, I came up with a great idea. I hired one of the only usable boats for an "Island Hopping Tour" to get us across the Cebu Strait to get back to Bohol so I could finally hug and kiss my son.

In the 3 months that followed, we lived without power. It was a very unique time. Standing in line all day in the hot sun just to get a few liters of gas. Camping on the front lawn because it was a little cooler than sleeping in the hot apartment. But we were together again as a family. Over the next year, we moved to Panglao in hopes that the power grid there would be better for me to continue to work online. We met amazing friends in Panglao were I was Maverick's soccer/football coach. But I still struggled to work online due to the constant power outages.

With the announcement of Maverick having a baby sister, Shela and I decided that it would be more beneficial for our family for me to move back to the USA. In August, we were blessed with a beautiful little girl. But now we are back in the same situation of me living in the USA and my family living in the Philippines.

In November, we will apply for Shela and Maverick's IR1 Visas. Again, this is another long and drawn out process. They will need to travel to Cebu and Manila to make Little Andy an American Citizen, and to do the health checks and interviews at the US Embassy for Shela and Maverick. We are hoping that the immigration process will take less than a year. After they arrive in the USA, we will use the remaining funds to help pay for the process of me adopting Maverick.
