Help the Racine family during this difficult time

On December 3rd 2021 at 11:45pm, my brother-in-law Lindsay suddenly and unexpectedly had what the doctors call a sudden death occurrence caused by a misfire in his heart due to an arrhythmia causing him to go into ventricular fibrillation. Thankfully my sister Charlotte heard him immediately and she and his son Erik began administering CPR while waiting for the police and paramedics to arrive. After shocking his heart several times, 4 shots of epinephrine and the use of a lucas machine which does automatic chest compressions, they were able to get his heart restarted and obtain a pulse.
Unfortunately, Lindsay went without natural blood flow supplying oxygen to his body for approximately 30 minutes. The MRI does show some Anoxia brain damage, and while we strongly believe in the power of prayer, we won't know the extent of the damage until Lindsay wakes up.
Lindsay is still in the ICU and has had a tracheotomy and is still on a ventilator. Due to improvement of his breathing on the ventilator, he will be moved to a step-down unit once a bed is available. He is showing some positive neurological improvements, but my sisters family has a long road ahead of them. Our faith in God and all of your prayers assures us that he will make a full recovery, but we know it will take a lot of time. As you can imagine the waiting is tremendously difficult for Charlotte, Erik, Hailey and our entire family.
Those of you who know my bother-in-law Lindsay, know the kind, caring, unselfish man he is. He works hard for his family and is their rock. He is generous to a fault and loves his fur babies, especially his Grand puppy Tilly. Lindsay is anxiously and excitedly awaiting the birth of Hailey's baby, his first Grandchild, a Grandson due in March. He will celebrate his 34th wedding anniversary to my sister on January 8th, and he is looking forward to celebrating his son Erik's wedding in September 2022. There are so many blessings to look forward to for this AMAZING man who has touched so many of our lives.
Sadly because there is no Power of Attorney, and because Lindsay is not awake to sign one, financial institutions and creditors will not work with my sister. Lindsay's health insurance has a high deductible and medical bills are devastating, and once he awakens he will require rehabilitation. Although thankful he has disability insurance, the maximum allowed will only be 35% of his weekly pay and must be approved before it will begin. So until that happens they are without income because Charlotte does not get paid while on FMLA.
Emotionally Charlotte is struggling, focusing all of her energy on Lindsay's recovery and being with him in the hospital talking to him to try an get him to wake up. So, I am putting aside all pridefulness and humbly asking for your help for Lindsay and Charlotte.
I thank you ALL for the love, prayers, and support you have shown them.
