Help the Rager’s Get Across Country

Travis has been one of my best friends since high school (c/o ‘09), and throughout the years we’ve stayed close despite both of us moving away from our hometown of Augusta, Ga.

In Savannah, he met a woman who changed his life and eventually Travis married Sinead, who is originally from Australia. Their life plans led them to the path of leaving the States and going to Australia to start a new life together. After months of planning, packing, and selling most of their possessions they were set to fly on July 6, 2021 to start the long flight and numerous layovers from Savannah to JFK to Qatar to their final destination of Adelaide, Australia.

On the morning of July 6, they arrived at the airport in Savannah only to find that their original tickets were rescheduled. Despite the small setback, the airline (Qatar Air and JetBlue) was able to book them on another flight to JFK; however, that flight was redirected to Buffalo and didn’t give them enough time to catch another flight to JFK. Long story short, Qatar Air said there was nothing they could do because they missed their original flight in Savannah...therefore they missed their only chance to get to Australia for the next 6 months.

So, Travis and Sinead had to rent a car and drive to Travis’s dads house in Philadelphia. The Rager’s dogs are still out in an airport though, in Los Angeles.

My hope is to raise enough money for my good friends to make it across country to get their dogs, and also raise some money for the time being until they can get another flight to Australia.
