Help The Ranch get “Home”!

Update 1/25/22:
Thank you all. We have not raised enough to secure a down payment on a large property as mentioned. We are still in contact with any potential housing options that were previously discussed but may not be ready to live in. Please keep an eye on the previous Ranch Facebook page for updates within the next month or two as the fundraiser has ended and will be deleted soon. Thank you all for praying for our family and rooting for us! We appreciate it immensely.

Update 1/14/22:
We have not secured anything set in stone at this time. Ed is working 14hrs a day to save up as much of a deposit as we can, as fast as we are able. We are working to keep everyone updated as much as possible! We have been contacted with a few potential options here in CT but we will need to check them out and go through the application process prior. We will be doing that this weekend/week. Cross your fingers that we can make a big move soon! We are anxiously waiting and hoping. Animals are all doing well despite this awful cold! Thank y’all.
Update:
We were notified by the realtor that both potential properties that we had been working toward, have gone under contract. Which was somewhat expected in this market. They did warn us of the time table. They have informed us of several other much smaller properties that could potentially be a fit. This will reduce the initial deposit amount and the length of time needed to raise the funds. Again, they are not however in CT. One is upstate NY, one is in WV.
We’ve had such a wonderful support system here in town and we’re so thankful for all who continue to root for our mission.
The rescue is and has been closed, we haven’t had a new intake since summer of 2021. Our concern is keeping the family and remaining sanctuary animals together.
All donations go toward the Ranch relocation and costs associated with the move in deposit to secure a property and relocate the animals. Thank y’all!
—————————————-
Kate & Ed have been running RRRS, a CT charity and saving the lives of over 600 animals for over 5 years now. In 2020, our intended “forever home” and rescue location was sold. In the midst of a pandemic and economic housing crisis.
After over a year of being turned down by countless landlords, spending countless money just on application fees and fighting a lengthy legal battle as well as fighting tirelessly for our beloved sanctuary animals- our family, children and animals will be homeless in January of 2022. Our potential to be able to find a large enough home for our family alone, here in CT with the EXCEEDINGLY competitive market at this point is fading. We need to make a different move. Our options are exhausted.
We have put this off as frankly- it’s an embarrassment. We are a hardworking family and community loving folks, who pride ourselves on being responsible and now we need your shares and open eyes!
We are in talks with two different realtors in NC and WV to potentially rent to own larger acreage properties between 20-35 acres, that will not only keep our family safe but will allow us to relocate and REOPEN RRRS. At a REASONABLE cost! As we are currently closed, in a time of desperate rescue need.
We need to be able to put down a significant down payment. Any property with acreage and a house is off the market as soon as it hits so we need to do this fast. We love & appreciate all of you and your endless support.
