Today 05/23/2023 our mom Ivy Ratliff has left this earth to enter her eternal home. Unfortunately we didn’t have time as a family to prepare for funeral cost nor did she have life insurance. Our mom fought a long hard battle with many health conditions over the last 24 years. Just to name a few she had Lupus, she was a diabetic, she had congee heart failure and renal kidney failure, she also had other health issues but those are the main ones that kept her in and out of the hospital. Over the last 6 years she has been on dialysis 3 times a week never giving up. She was most definitely the strongest woman we knew. Anyone who met her would also know the same. Anyone who knew our mom also knew that she was one of the most giving people you’d ever meet. She didn’t have much, but was willing to give anything she did have. She took in anyone who needed it. Many people called her “mom” which I know she loved each of them like her own. She has been married for the last 23 almost 24 years to my amazing dad who was her primary care giver. This GoFundMe will be towards funeral expenses as well as any other financial support my dad could use while we all are grieving. We are all heartbroken but we know our mom is no longer in pain or suffering. If you aren’t able to donate any and all prayers are appreciated by the family. Services are to be determined but will be held at Cecil funeral home.
