Hello my name is Cary Reed I am Keair Reed father. On September 18th my son who is 16 years old was tragically murdered by a 17 year old Anthony Wirtjes in New Hope, Minnesota.

Keair had just left the store from getting his favorite snacks. Within minutes of Keair arriving back at the New Hope home he was shot in his face through his eye by Anthony. Keair body was propped and a ghost gun was placed under his feet to cover up the murder. At the time of this horrific murder, there was 9 other people in the home. One of those 9 people was his mother Emily Sue Eggergluss. The initial story Anthony's family told were lies. They stated they were sleeping and my son Keair had shot himself.

I, as Keair father has never shown him a gun nor had a gun around him. Keair has never played with guns nor would he play with one with his friends or family. This was the story Anthony's family told to get people to believe them. It is my belief that my son was murdered in cold blood while they came up with anything to tell police. There is also a guy in the household that was present when Keair was murdered who has threatened everyone, if they told the truth they would be killed.

My family and I are devastated and want answers, we want the truth to be exact. Keair grew up in a Christian home with five other siblings ranging from his closet 15 year old sister who will be traumatized for the rest of her life and his younger brothers 9, 6, 4 and 3. Keair had plans of becoming an architect and taking care of his siblings. Keair attended school in Chaska, Minnesota in a beautiful home and spent every weekend with me, his father. We had recently went to Orlando, Florida for vacation and planned plenty more trips. I am hurt, confused and deeply saddened by what has happened to my son. All I can do now is plan his funeral and cherish the memories we have. I cry everyday and all day because my baby is no longer with me and my family. I am asking the community to help me put Keair to rest with funeral cost and expenses endured through this trying time. Thank you to everyone that has helped, it means the world to me️️️.
