Pat and April Reedy have been long time residents of the Zephyr and Brownwood communities. Their three children were born in Brown County and attended Zephyr schools from kindergarten through graduation. Over the Christmas break, while out of town, the home they raised their children in burned down.
Many, many people know Pat and April. I’m lucky enough to get to be one of those people. When my roof caved in, amongst the few that showed up to help me rebuild, were Pat and April. When I had a medical emergency and almost died, it was Pat and April who not only took care of me, but of my three girls as well. Over the course of 20 years anytime I needed help, and there were quite a few times, my friends were always among the first to show up. I never had to ask, they just helped. The two of them have been there for many other people in our community as well.
All of that to say while the Reedy’s are great at helping others, they don’t like asking others for help and I want to make sure they don’t have to. Please join me in raising enough money to cover the areas their limited home insurance isn’t. Help me raise the money to keep this amazing family on their land and in an home they can build new memories in. Help me turn this tragedy into an outpouring of love. Every little bit helps.
