Help the River Kittens

Donation protected

In late September, I found these two kittens who had been dumped at the river on a rural road.  I was able to easily catch the black kitten, but the orange tabby was extremely fearful.  Thankfully I was able to buy a trap and catch him, so he didn't have to spend yet another cold and lonely night by the river.

The kittens both received immediate vet care for a significant upper respiratory and eye infection, and are recovering in my home.  They are both intact males and will need to be neutered as well as vaccinated after they recover from their illness.  Their veterinary bills are already starting to add up, so at the request of many of you, I've set this up for those who want to contribute.

If funds raised exceed what is needed for the kittens' initial care, excess funds will be donated to our local animal rescue nonprofit,  the Clarke County Humane Foundation.

We do plan to keep the kittens, and will be working their future care into our pet budget.  It's been an intense year with first the addition of KG the stray and now these guys, but we are confident they are all now living their best lives with us.

I am forever grateful for your encouragement and support.  Thank you! <3
