This, is the McIntyre Wildlife Shelter. And it needs your help!
Home to more than 30 kangaroos (adults, and joeys), beautiful birds and even a retired racehorse, the McIntyre Wildlife Shelter's purpose is to bring hope and happiness back into these wild lives! This is done by a wonderful team of volunteer carers and Denise, founder of the Shelter, by lovingly providing all the attention and extra care they need towards a healthy, happy life that will take them back into the wild. They come here victims of mostly fence-hanging or car accidents in which they lost their moms, with severe wounds that need attentive care, constant follow up and pricey medications. Add to those expenses four feeds per day for the joeys, two for the cats and horse and one for birds, plus the accomodation and all meals for the volunteers. Same as everyone out there, the Shelter is taking an extra hit from the Covid-19 pandemic; and has a lot of mouths to feed!
Please consider donating for this great cause. What you would spend on a cup of coffee or a takeaway meal would make a huge difference here! Everything helps, no amount is too small!
Absolutely every dollar will be put solely into working directly for these beautiful animals and making sure they're healthy and happy.
