Help the Salcedo Family Attain Their Green Cards

Donation protected
Let's help the Salcedo Family reach their goal of attaining their Green Cards!

Hector Salcedo has blessed the St. Malachy faith community in Brownsburg, IN with his organ/piano gifts for almost four years. Hector, his wife- Erika, and their first two children moved from Mexico in February of 2017 when he was hired as the Music Director of St. Malachy Parish. It is now time for them to change their immigration status, and obtain their Green Cards. These will allow them to permanently live and work in the U.S. This is a very expensive process- an estimated $16,000 is needed to cover legal and filing fees for the whole family plus immigration medical exams and vaccines that are not covered by insurance. If you feel led to help this beautiful family, please donate to their cause! The Salcedo Family greatly appreciates your generosity!

Some interesting facts you may not know about the Salcedo Family:

*Hector received a scholarship and studied for 9 years at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome, and was a substitute organist at the Vatican.

*Hector has achieved these degrees- Bachelor of Gregorian Chant, Bachelor of Composition, Bachelor of Organ, Master of Sacred Music in Composition, and Postgraduate Degree in Improvisation and Contemporary Music.

*The Salcedos lived in Guadalajara, where Hector was well-known and worked as the organist at Guadalajara's Cathedral, Professor at the Sacred Music School, Head of the Study Programs and Chair of the Gregorian Chant at the Sacred Music School, performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Jalisco, teacher at Organ and Improvisation Summer Camps, organist in small surrounding parishes, and private music instructor.

*A friend from Rome (who is now Music Director as St. John the Evangelist in Indianapolis) told Hector about a job opening at St. Malachy. Hector wanted to find a job that would allow him to spend more time with his family while also being able to provide for them. His many jobs in Guadalajara did not provide enough even though he worked 7 days a week!

*Hector and Erika have welcomed two more beautiful children since moving to the U.S.!

Thank you for helping the Salcedos continue to live and raise their precious family here in the U.S.!
