Help the Savio Family Navigate Life Without Dave

My name is Maria. Myself and friends of Michelle Savio are setting up a GoFundMe for her and her family after unexpectedly losing their rock, Dave, on February 5th after a brief illness. Michelle, his wife of over 20 years, and their children, Robbie (18), Katie (16), and Charlie (13), and his dog Harley are now navigating a life without their beloved husband and father. His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and his brothers and sisters in blue.

If you met Dave once, you would have been so lucky. Dave was larger than life. He had a passion for living life to the fullest, and his sense of humor, positivity, and genuine kindness was felt by every person he met. Dave would often be seen driving his kids to school, cheering them on in sporting events, and being present for his kids and wife at every turn. The void for their family is unimaginable.

Dave will also be profoundly missed by his community. He enthusiastically dedicated more than 26 years to serving the Reading Police Department, impacting countless lives with his unwavering loyalty, honesty, and integrity. Those who knew him will also remember his great sense of humor, boisterous laugh, and deep love for life.

Dave helped so many throughout his life, and helping his family at this incredibly difficult time is something we would be honored to do.

Michelle and her family are trying to navigate this new world without Dave by her side, and we know she would be grateful for anything from the community that loved Dave so very much.

Your generous donations will help to provide much-needed financial relief for the Savio Family. The Savio Family Legacy Fund will be used for college savings plans, educational, and other related expenses for the Savio children.

Losing a loved one is so difficult, but navigating a premature, sudden loss adds a different element to the grieving process. We want Dave to rest peacefully knowing his family is being looked out for just as he did for his community.
