Help The Shack to Repair the computers of Volusia's Seniors!

In 2025, Hal’s Hacker Shack will Launch the Volusia County Shack for Seniors program!

Phones and Tablets are very small, and seniors have a hard time performing tasks on these devices. This is why they need their computers with larger displays, and additional features.

The Shack for Seniors program goal is simple, to provide Volusia County Senior Citizens with the service they need so that they can continue to keep their computers fast, up to date, and reliable so they can stay in touch with their neighbors & family, pay their bills, and be able to participate in all their online appointments, ie: Tele-Medicine, etc.

Donations to the Shack for Seniors program will allow Hal's Hacker Shack to repair computers for senior citizens at no charge, by assisting with the costs associated with repairs and upgrades to their PC’s ie: Hard Drives, Memory, Batteries, etc.

With our expertise, facilities, and your generous donation we will make a difference in the lives of Volusia County's senior citizens who are on a limited and/or fixed income.

Once we reach our goal the program will launch and we start helping Senior Citizen's repair, and/or upgrade their personal computers for free!

If seniors are unable to drive and/or bring their machines to Hal's Hacker Shack or have trouble using their computers, we can assist in arranging a transportation and/or tutoring solution for them for a fee via the Services of the Tech Tutor LLC in Volusia County.

This program will be available to the approximately 115,000 qualifying senior citizens that are 65 and over and legally reside in Volusia County, Florida that are on a fixed and/or limited income.
