Help the Shulers after miscarriage complication

If only the new year came with a reset button. Most people are making new years resolutions and hopeful of things to come. And I am just reminded of the pain and sadness from 2021. We should be preparing to welcome a new baby into our family in about a month, but instead we have a hefty hospital bill.
We found out we were pregnant over the summer. A week before the start of our 2nd trimester, I experienced intense pain and bleeding. Shortly after our miscarriage was confirmed at the doctors, my body started flushing blood out. It was doing its job... but some tissue from the baby and things was stuck to the side of my uterus. My body kept flushing blood to get it out, but it was stuck.
My doctors office had me go to the closest hospital (even though they did not have an emergency area) and they called ahead to let the doctor present know my situation. By the time I was admitted, I was in and out of consciousness. They quickly prepped and performed an emergency DNC. The entire operation took THREE times as long as normal as my body wouldn't stop bleeding. By the time any medicine worked, I lost over half my blood and all doctors and nurses were very concerned I was going to die.
I woke up to a hospital room full of very worried looking people, including my husband. I had an IV in each arm that both had bags of blood hooked up as well as plasma. Once I was finally out of the danger zone, My doctor kept telling me that he was thankful I got to the hospital when we did and that I was healthy. He knew my outcome may not have turned out this way if either of those weren't true. He also mentioned multiple times that in all of his years of service, he has never seen anyone with translucent lips.
It took about 1 week for me to be able to shower and walk to the bathroom without assistance. It took about 2 weeks to have the strength to take care of our 2 year old without assistance. And it took about 1 month with supplements and a high iron diet for me to not be anemic or experience any anemic symptoms.
I am thankful for my doctors and the hospital staff. I am thankful for our family. And I am thankful to be here with them. We are humbly asking for some financial assistance to help us pay off our hospital bill from this terrifying and sad experience. And are very appreciative of any contribution.
Much love,
