Help The Sink Factory Remain in Berkeley

We are moving and need your help!
Our existing location is set for demolition and we are being forced to move. All things retail are changing, which presents a strong need to evolve and this is the perfect opportunity to do so.
With the introduction of so many new concepts in plumbing design over the past 10 years, The Sink Factory is doubling down on our focus of selling and serving older fixtures. We are offering new products that have the design and feel of the old, but will leave the newer concepts to other showrooms.
Homeowners, as well as plumbing professionals, have fewer and fewer resources available for servicing these older, often antique, fixtures. Most showrooms will offer zero assistance with older fixtures and the big plumbing supply houses have less and less interest in stocking the obscure replacement parts that are our specialty.
Older fixtures were built to last and often have decades of life still in them. Unfortunately, the solution most plumbers offer is replacement, not repair. Opening walls and rebuilding cabinets can easily cost a thousand dollars or more, when the replacement part is only $50 or $60. Not to mention the potential loss of a beloved antique fixture.
Luckily, we've already found a new location, in Berkeley, where we can continue business February 1st, 2020. This new location will allow us to increase the size of our parts department, which means you can take your much-needed item home, or to the job site, the same day instead of having to place an order. We would also like a new, state of the art, lathe and milling machine, which would greatly increase the efficiency and abilities of our service department.
Moving, wiring, inventory building, and acquiring new machinery will cost tens of thousands of dollars, dollars that we don't have. So, we are asking for your help in making any size donation possible as well as spreading our message about the need for community assistance in funding the set-up of our new facility where we can better assist you with your future plumbing projects!
Thank you for your support.
Most Sincerely,
Ragnar Boresen
