Help the Sipe Family with Carson's Care

Friends, Family and Compassionate Stranger,

With heavy hearts and Spirits of hope and faith, we are reaching out to you to support the Sipe family during an incredibly challenging season. Their (in my opinion) perfect son Carson, has been courageously battling osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. Despite fighting with more courage and resilience than I could ever describe, Carson’s journey is now leading him into hospice care.

Carson's Journey

To know Carson - his infectious smile, generous heart, pure love for others, patience, kindness and joy, in tandem with such immense levels of suffering, is to know a glimpse of Jesus on earth.

Carson’s cancer journey has consisted of many hospital visits, surgeries and chemo sessions. He has shown extraordinary resilience. The cancer has unfortunately progressed and the medical team can no longer offer treatment and has decided to place Carson on hospice care for comfort and quality of life.

The Need for Support

As Carson transitions to hospice care, the Sipe family faces emotional and financial challenges. My hope and prayer for this fundraiser, is that we as a community shoulder the financial burden during this part of the walk, allowing them to focus on what truly matters: spending as much precious time with Carson and start processing through stages of grief without the worry of the financial burden as well as start thinking about and planning through future arrangements for Carson.

Offerings gathered will be put toward:

Medical Expenses: The cost of Carson's medications, treatments and hospice care are overwhelming to say the least, your support will help alleviate such a heavy pressure from this.

Future Planning: The Sipe family needs assistance with planning for Carson's future care and final arrangements. This support will provide them with the peace of mind to make thoughtful and loving decisions as they come.

Alleviating Financial Stress: Ray works two jobs to provide for the family and has had to take significant time off for both jobs. What we are able to fundraise will give Ray freedom to be fully present with Carrie and the kids as they walk out this next chapter.

As we get ready to walk through this next season, our hearts remain devoted in hope for a miraculous healing. We continue to trust Jesus and we choose to give all glory, all suffering to the only one who can take these ashes and make them beautiful. We ask for your continued intercession for Carson's healing, comfort and a peace that passes all understanding. We draw strength today form James 5:15 as it is promised "and the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up” as well as Romans 12:12 “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer”.

We also encourage you to leave messages of hope, love and encouragement for Carson and his family. These words have always brought so much comfort and strength on the extra hard days.

The Sipe family wanted to make sure I shares how incredibly grateful they are for all of the outpouring of love and support. I know as a community, if we choose to walk in suffering with one another, we will also share in blessings with one another.
