Help the Slaton Family Recover from KY Tornado
Donation protected
This weekend has been one of the most tragic and difficult in the history of our Commonwealth.
Hello, my name is Corey Shell, and I am asking for Donations to help out my Childhood (and Best) Friends and their family. As many of you are aware, Kentucky was ravaged by deadly storms this weekend, and Hopkins County was hit by what may be the most significant and one of the deadliest Tornados in Kentucky’s history. The Tornado traveled over 200 miles, and wrought unfathomable destruction in its wake. On the morning of 12/11/21, I awoke to the News that my Best Friends’ Family’s Farm had been decimated by this unprecedented storm. We are relieved and thankful to God that there was no loss of life, (Donna, Norris, and their dogs survived the storm) but their home, vehicles, and farm equipment are total losses, and they are picking up the pieces of what remains of their farm today.
Slaton Heritage Farm was established in 1791, even before the Commonwealth of Kentucky was established. I personally have many fond memories of the time that I spent on Slaton Heritage Farm with the Slaton Family, and I am devastated to hear of the substantial destruction that occurred this morning on the Farm, to the community of Hopkins County (where I grew up), and throughout the other Counties of the Commonwealth (Mayfield, Muhlenburg, Ohio county, and the other counties affected by this monstrous storm).
100% of donations to this campaign will go to the Slaton Family to help them recover from this tragic and devastating Incident. Every little bit helps, and we appreciate your support during this horrible tragedy that has so grievously affected our Commonwealth. Our Thoughts and Prayers are with all of the Families and Communities affected by this disaster, especially for those who have lost their friends, family, and members of their community from this unprecedented storm.
