Help The Snell Family Recover From The Accident

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

On August 26, 2021, The Snell family from Englewood, Colorado, were devasted by a careless driver who caused a head on traffic collision near Conifer, Colorado. Dee (55) and JoJo (2) both lost their lives in the accident, and Amber (35) and Adam (31) were each hospitalized with severe injuries. All of this happened as the four of them were driving home from a family camping trip.

Dee was the backbone of their family and kept all the wheels turning smoothly. JoJo was full of fun and created smiles and laughter wherever she went. With their loss, Frank and Andrew have the weight of the world on their shoulders. In addition, to working through their own grief, trying to keep their households running, providing support and care for Adam and Amber, they are also trying to help Aliyah (5) understand why her “Grams” and little sister are gone, why her momma is in the hospital instead of with her at home, and to learn to adjust to being a kindergartener at the same time. It is a daunting season in their lives.

The family is struggling to deal with all the tragedy, injuries, and overall changes that are happening. Amber is currently at Craig Rehabilitation Center with months of work ahead of her. Adam is home and has much needed dental work and an undetermined amount of different therapies ahead of him. It is a hard road for all of them.

This GoFundMe is being created to raise funds so the Snell family can cover additional housing, medical and other unforeseen expenses that are not being addressed by the Victims Compensation Fund and insurance.

When the accident happened, Frank and Dee were in the process of making some general improvements to their home, with the hope of purchasing it from its current owner. With the loss of Dee and Amber’s incomes, the process of keeping the household afloat, and also qualifying to buy their home has become more difficult and yet more imperative. Maintaining a safe and stable home environment is a necessity for this family.
