This week, my dear friends, the Sommer family, faced an unimaginable tragedy when they lost their home in the Palisades Fire. Mark, Jennifer, and their two daughters, Talia and Elle, have been a part of this community for over 20 years. Their home was not just a place to live—it was a sanctuary for everyone who was lucky enough to know them. Whether it was cuddling with their beloved dogs, Bailey and Tobi, enjoying one of Mark’s expertly crafted cocktails, or savoring one of Jennifer’s delicious meals, the Sommer household was a place filled with warmth, love, and joy.

Jennifer and Mark are two of the hardest-working and most dedicated people I know. Together, they’ve built a beautiful life for their two amazing daughters, pouring everything they have into creating a loving home.

In the chaos of the fire, they had mere minutes to evacuate, grabbing only a few essential belongings.
