Help the Stephensons Rebuild their Lives

On Sunday, September 12th, a massive storm hit the Tampa Bay area. Kailyn had only been home for 15 minutes when she heard a lightning bolt strike. Her immediate thought was that their house had been hit.
As she, and her husband Adam, began to inspect their home, they smelled smoke. Within minutes, smoke began billowing into the home through the AC vents. At that moment, they grabbed their two boys (18 months and 4 years old) and evacuated the home with nothing more than the clothing on their backs.
The fire department arrived and began attempting to locate the fire, but because of the homes structure it was a difficult task. After 45 minutes, they were able to locate the fire, but in the process, tore down all the ceilings in the home. Though the structure was saved, virtually all of the contents of the home are a complete loss due to water, smoke, and soot damage.

The road ahead will be a long one, likely 5 to 7 months of being displaced, in addition to the immense financial hardships as they work to rebuild their lives and home. A horrible situation is made worse, in that due to loss of income last year and financial struggles, their insurance unfortunately lapsed and they have no coverage. This was something they were in the works of acquiring as thier financial situation was improving, but too little too late. Their HOA covers the structural damage, but remediation and demolition, electric, plumbing, AC, kitchen & bathrooms, flooring, paint, etc will entirely fall on them.
We are hoping that this Go fund Me will help the family as they start their lives over. Any donation made will help to replace lost items such as clothing, bottles, and diapers, any necessities that the family is now without, and work as a foundation for them as they navigate the devastating costs of rebuilding their home.
We sincerely thank you for taking the time to read their story, and for any help you may able to provide them.
