Help the stray dogs and cats of Boracay Island

Donation protected
Hi, we are Amy and Pippa and we are raising money to support the work of BAARC (Boracay Animal Adoption and Rescue Centre).

I (Amy) recently visited Boracay and went along to the charity rescue to donate and meet the animals. I now sponsor Sina, one of the many lovely dogs rescued by BAARC (heavily pregnant and due for euthanasia).

Pippa is due to arrive in Boracay on 21 Feb 2025 and is proactively fund raising ahead of this trip to provide as much support as possible for the charity.

BAARC are the only animal rescue charity on Boracay Island in The Philippine's. Its a beautiful paradise like island but life for the many stray cats and dogs there is far from heavenly. Due to overpopulation of strays they are currently captured and euthanised if they are not claimed by an owner (within 3 days) or rescued by BAARC.

BAARC recently saved 26 stray dogs due to be euthanised and arranged for them to be neutered and rehomed. Those not rehomed are living at the charity shelter where well wishers from afar cover their food and medical needs via a monthly sponsorship/ one off donations.

The volunteers who work on the project saving and caring for the dogs and cats are totally unfunded and rely on the help of others, including using land to house the animals, which has been now listed for sale by the owner, so remains a temporary solution.

As you can imagine there are hundreds of animals that desperately need their help- they may need medical assistance, they may have been injured or abused. The charity rely on donations to support these animals but in the long term they need to buy their own land so they can build a permanent shelter and continue to be able to rescue more animals.

Together with your help we are fundraising to support this incredible charity and the work they selflessly do, giving these animals the safe and happy lives they deserve.

Times are tough throughout the world but no donation is too small and every penny goes directly to the charity and is used for food, medication and shelter.

As an example
£2- a weeks food for one dog or cat
£10- worming medication for 10 dogs or cats
£20- provides both vaccinations for 10 dogs or cats
£50- spaying or neutering for 1 dog or cat

The monthly cost of sponsorship for one animal is £20 and you receive updates and photos and should you ever happen to visit Boracay you even can visit the charity and spend time with your sponsored animal.
