PLEASE help the students of Gideon Welles!!

PLEASE HELP THE SWEET CHILDREN OF GIDEON WELLES SCHOOL GET A NEW PLAYSCAPE! These kids have had to deal with so much these past 2 years and this would bring them such joy. Last year, the Board of Education made the decision to send the 5th grade students of Hopewell School to Gideon Welles for their final year of elementary school because of space issues. This is a plan that will continue and more 5th grade students will likely be sent here in future years. The existing playscape is rundown and not age appropriate for 5th or 6th graders. We did receive a generous grant from the Glastonbury Education Fund for the new playscape, but it will not cover all of the costs, so we are hoping that our glastonbury community will come together to help!

In lieu of organizing yet another school fundraiser where you have to sell items, we want to give you an opportunity to JUST DONATE. If you are a family member of a Glastonbury child, an alumni of the school system, a concerned community member, or just someone feeling charitable, please consider a donation. No donation is too small or too big and it will bring such joy to these kids who have had to deal with so much these past two years.

It is the holiday time and many family members ask what they can get your children for gifts. This would be an awesome holiday gift that will live on for many years for other children to enjoy! Please consider sharing this with other family members and friends, such as grandparents, aunts and uncles, etc. The plan is to break ground when the weather allows in 2022. We are hopeful that the existing students will be able to enjoy it this spring! Thank you for your generosity!
