Help The Szabo Family Stay Together
Hello, my name is Nicole Powers, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read the Szabo family story. In October of 2022 the mother of these 3 beautiful children (Katana, Dante and Natasha) made some unfortunate decisions that has lead to the crumbling of a once happy family. James Szabo (the father) and his extensive family put in considerable time, effort and money to repair the damage the mother had done. Sadly, she threw away these opportunities and continued making poor decisions.
Today a year and 8 months after the initial damage was done the situation has devolved into a heart rending custody battle. The mother had started exhibiting some incredibly abusive behaviors never seen before the end of the marriage. She has separated the children not just from their father, but the rest of their family too. Including some of her own family who chose to point out her lack of parenting. She seeks to make this isolation of the children from the people who love them permanent.
Sadly all of this is happening just months after the death of James Szabo's mother, Liz Szabo. Liz was the cornerstone of this family and was absolutely heartbroken by the decisions of her daughter in law. She loved her grandchildren; Natasha, Dante and Katana more than anything, and would be devastated to see them separated from the family.
The upcoming trial is set for July 11th, a date regrettably James had no input on. We are all in complete emergency mode trying pull together whatever resources we can so these poor kids won't lose their family. Due to the fast pace of this emergency situation the families financial resources have been stretched thin. We are all asking for help in making sure Natasha, Dante and Katana have the best possible future.
A huge cost in all of this has been court fees and a lawyer. The lawyer alone is $300 an hour. Some time ago we had started saving for a new place big enough for the kids and have yet to reach that goal. This day in age that could be a couple thousand dollars. James is also in the process of fixing up his small commuting vehicle to use as trade in for a larger family car. He urgently needs funds for a down payment. We have started buying some essentials for the kids but still need things like bedroom sets. They will likely need all their toiletries and clothing to be repurchased. Another huge expense will be traveling out to Colorado to pick up Natasha, Dante and Katana. The gas, lodging and food for this trip will be easily be a thousand dollars.
I implore you to please help however you can and assure a bright future for this family. We have tried every possible avenue to make this happen and lack of time is making this situation formidable. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you can give.
