Dallas Fire Rescue “The Three Miracles”

My name is Brendan Gadomski and I am the brother of the Fire Captain who was injured during the Dallas gas explosion on 9/29/2021.

There were three firefighters (nicknamed “The Three Miracles”) critically injured that day and each of them have varying injuries that have kept them in the hospital since the incident.  It is truly a miracle that anyone survived the blast, let alone all three.  There is no definitive date on when they will be discharged but this event has affected their ability to fully provide for their families at this time.  Many have asked how to support financially and the families have held off until now.  The financial impact has begun so we are creating this GoFundMe.

I want to be fully transparent in the fact that their medical bills incurred immediately following the explosion WILL be covered by workers compensation.  However, the injuries are significant enough that they will affect the three critically injured firefighters for the rest of their lives. They have lost income from not being able to work their regular jobs outside of the fire department and have not had the opportunity to work the overtime they usually do.  The basic tasks around the house will be impossible to complete for the foreseeable future; they will have to hire help for getting these tasks completed.  This fundraiser is attempting to account for the financial burden these three will have while they are unable to complete the basic tasks most of us take for granted.

As well, the extent of their injuries are such that there will be unforeseen medical issues for the rest of their lives with the possibility of never fully recovering from these injuries.  This fund has been set up in an attempt to lessen the financial burden in the short term while creating a buffer for anything that may medically arise in the future which may not be covered by insurance. Unfortunately, there will be some things that come up.  

The money donated to this fund will indefinitely be shared EQUALLY amongst the three firefighters. This is the only account that has official approval from all the firefighters and their families.  This donation is not tax deductible.  At the point the firefighters or their families request the funds on their behalf, the funds will be deposited into my personal account and will be distributed with personal checks from said account.
