Help the Tran Family Fight Unlawful Eviction!

On March 24, 2021, Peter and Bing Tran, who are the owners and long-time tenants of BB Beauty Salon, were evicted from their place of business after nearly 30 years at the same exact location in Pacific Beach!

BB Beauty Salon was forced to close to abide by the stay-at-home orders to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The landlord who had a 30-year relationship with the Trans took advantage of a one month period in the law where commercial tenants were not protected from eviction due to financial hardship and started the eviction process against them without their knowledge. It’s disgraceful to take advantage of people during these desperate times and evict long term tenants for inability to pay rent. Peter and his wife Bing are being directly discriminated against! They have been serving the community of Pacific Beach and San Diego for almost 3 decades and this treatment is unacceptable!

Peter and Bing are both immigrant success stories, leaving their war torn country to find a better life and pursue the great American Dream. Peter is a Vietnam veteran and Bing is a refugee who arrived in San Diego with nothing. I have been a loyal client and friend for 18 years and have seen them work incredibly hard every day of their lives to run a successful business. I cannot stress how sad this is for so many locals and regulars throughout the year that I wanted to create this GoFundMe on their behalf.

We need your help to raise funds so the Trans can hire a good attorney to fight this injustice, and finally get settled in a new location to continue serving the community. Please help us fight back against this unlawful eviction! Any amount you can afford to help them achieve their goal will be appreciated.
