Help the Trevino Family Rebuild After Flood

My name is Christie Trevino, and my husband, Carlos Trevino, our son Nation my husband is a veteran USMC On March 27, 2025, we were caught off guard by a severe thunderstorm. Despite the city of Harlingen, Texas, and the news not issuing any warnings, we were unprepared for the 20 inches of rain that hit us. The local news channel had only predicted 5-6 inches.

Our home was severely damaged by the massive flooding. Since we don’t have city sewage or water in our area, we rely solely on well water and septic tanks. We are doing our best to remove the damaged items and prioritize our safety, especially in removing the water immediately.

For those who have experienced similar situations, you know how unpleasant the smell can be afterward. We had to rent a hotel just to sleep. While we have homeowners insurance, we are unsure what coverage it will provide. My husband and I are planning ahead and considering building a barrier around my home to protect it from future floods and redirect the water that directly flows towards it.

At this time of need, we are seeking help to replace the damaged items in my home and construct the barrier. Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated.
