Urgent Call: Secure Our Lives Away From Gaza War

Dear compassionate people,

My name is Baneen, I am a Neuropharmacologist. I am running this campaign for my dear friends Lubna and Lina. I have worked with them in a society directed by the University of Cambridge.

Who We Are:

We are Lubna and Lina, two incredible twins. We are currently stuck in Gaza due to the ongoing war. We are talented professionals with bright futures ahead, but the war has put our dreams on hold.

We are desperately trying to reach safety. Our goal is to pursue our studies out of Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023. A heavy airstrikes were launched towards Gaza and Gazans. Horrific large-scale massacres are taking place in all areas. On October 13, as a result of the ongoing massive attacks against civilians. The IDF threatened to kill residents if they didn't evacuate. Therefore, we were forced to flee to the south of the strip in Khan-Younis.

On December 4, we found ourselves again in another displacement search for safety. No need to tell you how is life in a shelter without any resources. Our family consists of the mother Dalal, the father Khaled, Omar the eldest (30 years old), Husam in Egypt (26 years old), the twins (Lubna and Lina), Sahar and Salma (26 and 13 years old). All family members lost their jobs.

Now there is no source of income left for us. Our father Khaled is a clinical nurse manager. he suffers from high blood pressure and chronic heart disease. he continues to work under these harsh conditions.

Salma our little sister (13 years old). Her normal life has turned into a nightmare. She didn’t see anything in her life except the dead people and the destroyed city!!

Unfortunately, she lost her favourite friend “Sokar”. Her cat was her loyal friend.

Our life is at risk. Staying here is very dangerous in case of Rafah invasion.

Our goal is to make significant contributions to the world. The moment we leave Gaza ( war region). We going to continue our journey of achieving what we are dreaming of.
