While riding my electric bicycle home from work, I was struck by a hit-and-run driver who left me injured and without any way to get around. The collision was so severe that it not only wrecked my e-bike but also destroyed all of my protective gear. This was more than just a vehicle incident; it has left me without a vital means of transportation and with mounting medical and repair expenses.

As an Indigenous trans girl, I’ve always worked hard to make ends meet and stay positive despite the challenges I face.
