A Christmas Morning Tragedy
Juana Us-Perez was a kind-hearted, hardworking, single mother of 5. She did absolutely everything for her kids, who emulate all of their mother’s best qualities- they’re happy, hardworking, respectful, caring, loving, and as close to each other as siblings can be. Unfortunately, in a Christmas morning tragedy, Juana, at just 35-years-old, was stabbed to death in front of her children in their Philadelphia home. Now, Juana's children are left without their beloved mother and are in need of support.
Juana's sister, a woman just as hardworking and kind as Juana herself, has generously offered to take in Juana's 5 children, but unfortunately funds and space are very limited. She and her husband already care for 6 children between the ages of 5-15 in their small, 3-bedroom North Jersey home and their jobs alone will not cover the costs. We are hoping you can donate what you can to help support their aunt in providing food, clothing, shelter and a safe and loving home for these 5 incredible kids.* Your support will also help keep the siblings together, which is critical for their wellbeing during this difficult period of mourning and transition.
For more information and updates regarding this harrowing story, you can follow the latest news in the Philadelphia Inquirer, NBC Philadelphia, and CBS Philadelphia .
*All money donated to this campaign will be put directly in a trust fund for the Us-Perez children and used exclusively for food, clothing, rent, and other necessities for the children and their education. It will be managed by the organizers of this campaign in consultation with a professional financial advisor. Any questions, feel free to contact us directly by clicking the Contact button below.
