Help The Valdez Family Recover

Hello everyone!
My name is James Mundle and I am the son/brother in law for the Valdez family involved in a near fatal auto accident in the late hours of September 2, 2024 on Highway 94, east of Colorado Springs. The accident occurred around 10pm, on the way home from a WWE event (which our family seems to have a healthy addiction to), when a driver was making a U-Turn in a truck and trailer, resulting in the side of the trailer taking up the road with no visible lights. The Valdez family struck the trailer doing 70mph, resulting in the totaling of their vehicle and sending Joel, Carrie, Summer (19) and Serenity (14) to the hospital. Serenity went via ambulance, and Carrie was rushed to the hospital in a Flight For Life helicopter to ensure her safe arrival with concerns of head and spinal injuries.
Carrie suffered the worst of the injuries, not being able to stand, walk, or move immediately after the accident. After a number of CT scans and X-Rays, by the grace of God, it was discovered that she had come away with only a major chest wall contusion, and no internal bleeding, broken or fractured bones, and no injuries pertaining to her neck and brain. She was quickly surrounded by her family, and was blessed with a very positive prognosis as even standing and walking is going to be a large endeavor for some time. We know that in the long run she will be able to make a full recovery.
Serenity, Joel, and Summer were all seen at the hospital emergency room for a large number of other issues including head injuries, seatbelt burns, and contusions all over their body, and it is again by some miracle that they were able to be released from the hospital with minor injuries.
The road to recovery is a tricky one, as their medical bills will not be covered by the at fault driver who caused the accident, due to the fact that he has no insurance to take care of their injuries. With that, the medical expenses will come from the Valdez side, as they gather themselves, find a way to get back to work as they own their own construction trade business that consists of just 4 people (3 of them in the family and 2 of whom were injured in the vehicle accident). Not a small feat for this family, but with the help of their friends and family, they know that they’ll be able to recover in the long run with the generosity of our family and community. I am blessed to be part of this family, and even more blessed to not have lost any part of this family in this accident.
The nurses and doctors who had seen pictures of the accident, had said that they had never seen an accident this severe not result in a death of one of the passengers. In that way, this family has been watched over by a higher power to keep them on this earth.
Now the family can get back to recovering, enjoying their new grandchild/nephew, and finding a normal that somewhat resembles what their life was going into last night. We greatly appreciate the time taken to read about our family, and are blessed with any generosity to help the family recover some of their medical expenses for the 4 of them. Thank you very much!
