Help the 5 Vang Children Survive Dad's Cancer
Donation protected
As friends of the Vang family, we hope to mobilize community members to provide financial support for the Vangs who are facing extraordinarily difficult times. A hardworking man Sysouk Vang, received the sobering news that he had colon cancer in November of 2019. He is currently 44 years old. As the breadwinner of the house, to support his five children and wife Charlie, Sysouk was working 70 hours a week. That all came to a screeching halt when his cancer metastasized from his colon to his liver, kidney and adrenal glands. After enduring multiple chemotherapy regimes, his providers recommended hospice care.
The goal of this fundraiser is to assist the Vang family now and in the years ahead. Charlie Vang is a positive role model for their children and works as an assistant in a dental office. She's doing a wonderful job helping Sysouk and their five children through his harrowing cancer journey. Anyone who knows the children would describe them as positive, hardworking and humble. The oldest Axey, is a nursing student at Lawrence Tech in Michigan. Khas, the only boy, loves to fish and helps Dad on doctors appointments when Mom is working. He is a student at Hennepin Tech in Minnesota. Fayedra, a sophomore at Champlin Park High School in Minnesota, loves lacrosse, drawing and reading. Charlize, currently in 8th grade enjoys lacrosse and arts & crafts. The youngest, Jun is a thriving 7th grader who plays the violin and is passionate about lacrosse. The Vang family needs your support to help them through the challenging times ahead. As they turn their focus to palliative care to make Sysouk more comfortable, we are advocating for your assistance for their future.
The Vang sisters play Hopscotch in the summer.
