Help with Jose's Recovery. Life After a Stroke.

This year has been a whirlwind of medical issues for our little family. We never thought in a million years that we would be in this situation. On Saturday November 17, 2018 my husband, Jose, suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke (bleeding in the brain) while he was at work. He was rushed to the emergency room via ambulance and then quickly transferred to a bigger and better equipped hospital almost an hour away from our house. The week before this happened we had been back and forth from hospitals and Doctors for our youngest daughter because she was having problems with her breathing, she was in the ER the day before Jose had his stroke. This whole experience has been overwhelming for all of us. Jose will be out of work a long period of time. He is still in the hospital at the moment and will be discharged straight to a Rehab facility. He has little to no feeling on the right side of his body, which makes doing daily tasks difficult. He has trouble standing for long periods of time, walking, holding things in his right hand (which is his dominate hand), brushing his teeth etc. This process is going to be long and at time difficult for him. We are not used to being in this financial position and don't like asking for help but this time we need it. I do work but as an independent contractor and right now my company doesn't have work for me to do and my shop gets good business but it is not consistent nor is it enough to carry the whole household at the moment.
Many of you don't know that Jose had just started a new job with his dream company. When he first started he had to take a state test in order to become an agent and unfortunately he failed and was let go. They agreed to let him come back if he could pass it the next time he took the test and he did, unfortunately for us the next period to start was after a month. We decided that we would be ok with that because he had been waiting for years to work for this company. That month of not working depleted what we had saved up after buying our house and fixing things that needed to be fixed. We will be using anything raised to buy any equipment that is needed and also to give our kids a good Christmas.
We do not know how long he will be in the rehab facility, everything depends on how well he does and how he is feeling. I do not want him to rush coming home, I just want him to get better and stay better. We also don't know if he will be needing special equipment when he comes home because he does require a walker right now.
We appreciate everything everyone has done for us, we truly have a great village! Thank you so much
