Help The Victims of the Earthquake in Turkey(AKUT)
Donation protected
This morning, the world stood still as we watched the news of the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey. The images and videos of the destruction and loss of life were heart-wrenching. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this tragedy.
As of 17:40(GMT) on 11 February 2023, the total estimated death toll exceeded 35,408 and 6,444 buildings collapsed as a result. We have created this GoFundMe page to gather donations for relief efforts in the affected areas. All funds raised will be used to provide immediate assistance, such as food, shelter, and medical aid, to those who have lost everything. All the funds will be sent to Search and Rescue Association(AKUT).
This is a call to action, a call for us to come together and support our fellow human beings in their time of need. No donation is too small, and every bit helps. Let us show the world that in times of crisis, we stand together as a global community.
Please consider donating and sharing this page with your friends, family and colleagues. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disaster. Please help the victims! You can find more detailed information about the disaster through this link:BBC Link
INFORMATION FOR SALESFORCE EMPLOYEES: Salesforce will match the individual contributions of Salesforce employees only when the amount of their donation is over $50.
How can we get the money matched? Salesforce employees who submitted over $50+ dollars will need to request their individual matching of their donation (which can be found in the help section of Volunteerforce against the employee giving FAQ)
When submitting your matching request, please fill in the “Designation” field with how you would like the funds to be directed. This information will appear on the check and will help the organization apply the funds to the correct place (here you should leave a comment and link the gofundme page I have made, so that all the donations get matched to this page!)
