Help the Vinton family
Donation protected
In February of 2021, Melissa Vinton was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer, Myelofibrosis. After getting diagnosed, Melissa had multiple bone marrow biopsies and had been put on several medications to control pain for her enlarged spleen and cancer. October 20th, she started chemotherapy for four days, twice a day and has just recently had a bone marrow transplant. Every Friday for 6 months they will have to take her to Iowa City for make sure her body is still responding to the transplant. Melissa’s husband and daughter have been traveling to doctors appointments, navigating the emotional and physical toll hospital stays and the cancer have taken on them- all without asking for help.
All proceeds going to the Vinton family will contribute to travel expenses, meals and bills while Melissa is recovering from the bone transplant for the next 4-8 weeks. Updates will be posted as soon as possible. Once again, thank you for your donation- It’s appreciated more than you know!
