Help the Weems Family After Tragic Loss

Eric Weems, a City of Griffin lineman for more than 19 years, tragically lost his life in a catastrophic accident while working on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Eric embodied the heart of a public servant, showing up to work each day to ensure a safe and secure community for his family and all families in Griffin. This was a source of great joy for him, and his joy was infectious to all who encountered him. City employees have launched a GoFundMe page to help Eric’s family. We are asking that the community join us in supporting the Weems family during this difficult time. While we know that no amount of money can reverse this tragedy, we can show the Weems family that we are a community that rallies around each other in a time of need.
