Help Courtney's Family
Donation protected
I've never set up one of these sites before and I sincerely hope I'm able to reach everyone that loves Courtney and her wonderful family.
Most of you know that Sammy was diagnosed with pneumonia and hospitalized on Saturday November 5th. A few days after being admitted they were told that the infection had wrapped itself around his lung and was keeping him from getting the oxygen he needed. His blood oxygen levels were bad and something had to be done. It was decided that surgery was required to unwrap the infection and scrape it away from the lung so the antibiotics could do their job.
Though this surgery is invasive, it's not considered unusual. However, when the Thoracic Surgeon opened she found that the infection had attached the lung to his diaphragm and the interior of his chest wall. A projected 2 hour surgery took over 4 hours. Thank God the outcome was wonderful and he is already out of intensive care on the mend.
Now this giving family finds itself in an extremely stressful position. Both of them are both self-employed and without insurance. Where they will get the money for their bills or their day to day expenses is a real problem. Courtney has been at the hospital with Sammy for a week now, and unable to work. Sammy will be out of work for at least 9 weeks. They are in dire need of our help!
Please consider making a donation to their fund no matter what the amount. Anything will be helpful. These two people have been helping others for years, from the homeless and the abused to the displaced or disabled Veterans they are always there to help. It's my belief they are more than worthy of our assistance. I hope you feel the same way.
At the beginning of this set up I was asked to state an amount of money I would like to raise...believe me when I say, in this case they need everything we can raise as quickly as possible.
Thank you for listening...and God Bless You!
