Help the Welker Family Recover from Tragedy

Dear friends, and kind-hearted strangers, my name is Jess, a close friend of the Welker family. I’m devastated to announce that this beautiful family was involved in a tragic car accident on their way home from their family vacation, in Florida, on January 2. Jenny, Amanda’s mother and my mom's dearest friend, sadly did not survive the crash. Her, her husband Brad, and two children, Austin and Olivia, were all stat-flighted to a nearby hospital in Florida. Amanda, is the best off- with a broken arm, foot, leg, and back. Brad is in critical condition, with a brain bleed, fighting for his life in the ICU. Amanda and her sweet children have already each had one emergency surgery, and Amanda will return to the operating room today for a surgery on her spine. She is stable, and in fight mode, ready to heal so she can be with her husband and children. Austin, her son, could potentially be paralyzed, due to not being able to move or feel his legs. Olivia underwent back surgery yesterday and has fractures in her face, but is also stable today. The amount of tragedy that has hit this family in the last 24 hours is unimaginable. We don’t know how long they will be in Florida due to the injuries, and many unknowns of the situation. Let’s help take the huge financial burden off of this family so they can focus on healing and getting back home to Ky. Their lives have been forever changed by this tragic event and this is only the beginning of the long road they have ahead.
