Help The Wilkerson Family

Henry Wilkerson was born on February 2, 2021 in West Des Moines, IA. Prior to discharge, Henry failed his cardiac test and was taken by ambulance to a downtown Des Moines hospital, with his parents (Jennifer and Derek) following behind. Further testing revealed Henry was born with a combination of 4 congenital heart defects,  a condition known as Tetrology of Fallot. Henry’s heart condition is characterized by a ventricular septal defect, pulmonary obstruction, overriding aorta, and right ventricular enlargement.

Jennifer and Derek were informed that Henry will need open heart surgery in the upcoming months in order to repair his congenital heart condition.

In order for Henry to obtain the top level healthcare he deserves, Jennifer and Derek will have unexpected expenses including:  travel expenses, food, lodging, and medical bills.

Prior to Henry being born, Jennifer and Derek asked me (Henry’s uncle) to be his godparent at his upcoming baptism in April. A few weeks ago, I attended a virtual Zoom baptism class with Jennifer, Derek, and Father Chinna. Father Chinna informed me that my job as a godparent is to not only tell Henry about the word of God, but to show him how to live it. I can’t think of a better way to begin to show Henry the work of God than by helping others out in a time of need. Please consider donating to help Henry and his family.
