Help "The Winchester Brothers" Bring Mr. Smile to Life

Donation protected

After moving to LA, my brother Gavin and I sat down and talked about our future for not only ourselves, but for 2100films. 2100films is our production company, specializing in horror movies.

We have continued to grow over the years, evidently, and have created some of what we think are going to be the coolest horror concepts in years. We've had an amazingly supportive family for our journey - and now it's time to finally turn it up a notch.

We are creating our first ever feature film called, "Mr. Smile." It is full length feature film adaptation to our short film, "Smile Guide. Think of SAW intertwined with a psychological break. With this budget, we will be able to accomplish our biggest ambition yet - a feature length horror film.

Let us show you in depth, what some of this budget consists of:
CREW: $13,000. For a feature film, you can't cut it short on your crew. After all, these are the people that make it all come together. We will need a Director of Photography, Makeup Artist, Gaffer, and Boom Operator at the least.
CAST: $10,000. Again, the cast is a MAJOR part of a feature film. They can bring the characters to life, convey emotion, and they CAN make or break a film.

Actors need to be paid what they deserve so that they are willing to deliver a stellar performance – (SAG Rate)
CATERING: $3,000. People need to eat! Without food, there is no energy, and without energy, forget the film. Pizza, burgers, lots of water, etc. They'll need snacks and sandwiches to keep that creativity burning.
EQUIPMENT RENTALS: $5,000. Dolly track, steady cam, monitors, lights.... you get the gist. For everything to run smoothly, we're going to need a smooth process. Our crew will come with their own kits, which is already factored into their daily rates.
COSTUMES/MAKEUP/PROPS: $2,000. We can source a lot of things on our own. But there are many things we can't. That's where this will come into play. Mr. Smile's masks, suits, and school clothes are just a few of those things.

LOCATION: $5,000. This is one of the most important factors of production. Our main locations for Mr. Smile include:

  • Walter's House
  • High School Classroom and Courtyard
  • Blast from the Past Comic Store
  • Dark "Killing" Room
  • Nearby Roads and Yards
We will need to consult with FilmLA for permits.

ANY EXTRA: $2,000 + Any Extra We Can Obtain PROMOTIONAL PIECES/INSURANCE/LEGAL

Us two small town kids from Yarmouth, Maine haven't been given a shot at creating a feature film. It's always come down to one thing - finances. I truly believe that if you want something bad enough, you can make it happen. Even over an eight day period.

We hope to surprise a lot of people with this project. Thank you.

Please enjoy the short film of which Mr. Smile is based off of – Smile Guide
